The members of The Capitol Brass Quintet are:
Erich Zimmerman, trumpet, is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and the University of Texas at Austin. A former member of the United States Navy Band, Washington D.C., he has been a music educator at the high school, middle school, and elementary school levels since leaving the Navy in 1989.
Marty Los, trumpet, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. In addition to playing with the Capitol Brass, he is an active free-lance musician in the Nashville area and Educational Representative for Music and Arts. Marty sits on the board of the Tennessee Music Educator's Association.
Jeff Stahel, horn, is a former member of the Nashville Symphony and the State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra. He is an active performer in the Middle Tennessee area and is employed in the medical software industry.
Greg Swanson, trombone, is a graduate of Indiana University. His major teachers were Lewis Van Haney, Keith Brown, Carsten Svanberg (Fullbright Scholarship to Denmark), and Mark Lemmers (Gustavus Adolphus College). In the mid 80's Greg served as trombone instructor at Tennessee Technological University. In addition to the Capitol Brass, Greg plays first trombone with the Jackson (TN) Symphony.
Andrew Lynn, tuba, is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University where he studied with R. Winston Morris. In addition to the Capitol Brass, he performs with the Euphouria Low Brass Quartet. Andrew is the band director for the middle school and high school band programs in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
